In 2011, the Bristol Food Network ran the inaugural 'Get Growing Garden Trail'. It featured 23 groups, involved in different growing projects across the city. Each group held an event to showcase what they do - to raise awareness, raise funds, or try to get people involved or indeed, just promote the 'cause'.
This year, the event will run on the weekend of 9th and 10th of June.
If this is something you want to be involved in, please let us know. It is a great opportunity for you to showcase your project, building on the back of city wide publicity; to recruit new volunteers; or to raise funds for your project.
What does it involve?
If you want to be involved, let us know. At this stage we need to know from you that you want to take part. If you do, please contact Charlie
charlie_bolton@btinternet.com
What do you need to do for the event?
The more you put in, the more you will get out. But at a minimum, you just need to open the doors to your project and to have people on-hand to answer questions. There is no cost to you to take part.
What information do we need?
A point of contact ie name, tel no, email address.
We will be in touch to ask you for information about your group/organisation, the nature of your open day (including times), and your entry for the trail guide.
Please note - IT WOULD BE REALLY HELPFUL if you could let us know as soon as possible if you are interested in taking part. We can only go ahead if enough groups have committed by the 16th March.
